Close left eye.

Fix  R eye on + sign. Dont shift focus any where else. You will notice that the blue circles are out of focus,but their existance can be sensed very well. Now keep targeting the plus sign and slowly bring your head closer to the screen. At a particular distance 4-6 inches, the Right Blue spot will just disapper. Move head further closer, it will reappear.Repeat it for Left eye by closing Right Eye : Left Blue spot will disappear.

Eyes are windows of the intilligence. Intilligence is character of the brain. The Retina is basically an interface between brain and rest of the eye. It has an arrey of receptors in Conical and Cylindrical shapes. These receptors selectively deal with colour, texture, brightness, sharpness ,contrast of the image projected over it . These receptors are connected with each other with network of fine nerves which unite at a junction and form a bigger nerve, the optic nerve which carries all the signal to the brain. This nerve junction dont have any receptors on it and so, just cannt sense the light.This junction is thus known as The Blind Spot.
You can amaze your friends even with out being online just with a paper and pen .
On a piece of paper ,with a sketch pen, draw a plus sign about half cm big. On its Right side, at a distance of 3-5 inches, draw solid dark circle of half cm dia. Hold the paper in your right hand at about 14 inches. U should see the plus sign on left and the dark circle on right. Close your left eye. Now keep seeing the plus sign and slowly bring the paper closer to your right eye. Stick to seeing plus sign. Dont shift focus any where else. You will notice that the black circle is out of focus,but its existance can be sensed very well. Now keep targeting the plus sign and slowly bring the paper closer to your right eye. At a particular distance, @ 5-6 inches, u will be shocked to sense that the out of focus but sensable black circle simply disappears ! Thats because the image of the circle falls on the nerve junction the Blind Spot, not having any light receptors. Repeat the experiment for left eye. This time, invert the paper and let the circle be on leftside of the plus sign. So, every one of us is Blind to this extent.

Why we dont realise this in day to day life ? Its becoz, the eyes work in tandem and cover blind spots of other eye. Each of them provides info of the back ground being seen and brain creates and inserts a Fill in the Gap with image perfectly camouflaging the back ground, so perfect that it is even not recognisable to our same brain that has crafted it !

Structure Of The Eye

Eye is like a Digital Camera. The Lens focuses on a 20 Megapixel Chip called Retina.The chip is connected via a cable called the Optic Nerve, to the Processor and Analyser called the Brain. The view seen by the two eyes is slightly different as those are few cms apart. The two slitely different images are super imposed in the Brain and we see a 3 D perspective.
